Subject: 2025 IGRF Geomagnetic Field Model for G1000® Avionics, G900X® Avionics, G950, Cirrus Perspective, and Embraer Prodigy Equipped Aircraft (GDU software version 5.02 and earlier)
【Affected Products】
G1000, G900X, G950, Cirrus Perspective, and Embraer Prodigy systems (GDU software version 5.02 and earlier) equipped with the IGRF Geomagnetic Field Model 2020 (or earlier) on a GRS 77 AHRS are affected. The IGRF Geomagnetic Field Model can be viewed on the System Status page in Configuration Mode. For instructions on viewing the IGRF geomagnetic field model, please refer to the "Modification Notes" section of this service bulletin.

PURPOSE
PURPOSE
This service bulletin contains instructions on validating and updating the IGRF (International Geomagnetic Reference Field) geomagnetic field model from the base year 2020 to 2025. Due to the continuous changes in the Earth's magnetic field, similar updates will be provided every five years.

This modification includes validating and updating the IGRF geomagnetic field model.
【Solution】
Please follow these steps to create the 2025 IGRF geomagnetic field model update card:
1. Insert a blank SD card into your computer's SD card reader/writer.
NOTE
NOTE
The SD card must be a SanDisk brand, 2GB or less in size, and formatted as FAT 32.
2. Visit https://dealers.garmin.com.
3. Download the 006-B1330-09 2025 IGRF database file.
4. Save the database file to your computer.
5. Double-click the .exe database file saved in step 3.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to save the database to the SD card.
7. Eject the SD card.

Do not copy the .exe database file to the SD card.
Compliance
It is recommended that this software service bulletin be executed during the next scheduled aircraft maintenance. This must be completed by December 31, 2026.

Modification Instructions
For instructions on how to create the 2025 IGRF Model Update Card, please refer to the "Materials Information" section of this bulletin.

Ensure uninterrupted system power during the update process. Power interruption during the update may require system repair.
1. With the G1000 powered off, insert the 2025 IGRF Model Update Card into the top slot of the PFD.
2. With the MFD and PFD powered on, press and hold the ENT key.
3. Power on the entire Garmin Integrated Avionics Cockpit.
4. Press the FMS knob to activate the cursor.
5. Use the FMS knob to highlight GRS1 MV DB in the LRU field.
6. If the IGRF part number is 006-D0159-04 and the version is 2020.00, proceed to step #7. If the IGRF part number is 006-D0159-05 and the version is 2025.00, do not continue this process.

7. Press the FMS knob to deactivate the cursor.
8. Rotate the small FMS knob to the Software Upload page in the System group.
9. Press the FMS knob to highlight IGRF VER 2025.05 006-D0159-05 in the file list.
10. Press the LOAD softkey.
11. Select OK.
12. Press the ENT key to confirm the following prompt.

14. After the file is loaded, press the ENT key to confirm the following prompt:
15. Press the FMS knob to deactivate the cursor.
16. Rotate the small FMS knob to the System Status page.
17. Press the FMS knob to activate the cursor.
18. Use the FMS knob to highlight GRS1 MV DB in the LRU field.
19. Confirm that the IGRF part number is 006-D0159-05 and the version is 2025.00.
